Welcome to the Alpha Chi Omega Grand Rapids Alumnae Chapter - Lambda Lambda.
We are a vibrant group of Alpha Chi Omega alumni from across West Michigan, united by our sisterhood. As one of nearly 170 AXO alumni chapters nationwide, we take pride in being one of the longest-standing chapters in the country.
Our chapter offers a strong sense of community through regular social events, opportunities for personal connections, and celebrating sisterhood milestones years of membership. We partner with local organizations like the YWCA to advocate for domestic violence awareness and support the Gamma Xi collegiate chapter at Western Michigan University.
Whether you’re new to Grand Rapids, reconnecting with old friends, or simply interested in getting involved in service projects, we welcome you to be part of our supportive, lifelong sisterhood. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event!
History
On February 7, 1914, 14 Alpha Chi’s came together to found the Lambda Lambda Alumni Chapter.
Our founders had a blustery February afternoon when the installation ceremony and election of officers launched this group. That evening they held a celebration dinner with dates and spouses at the Morton House Hotel. There was singing, speeches, toasts, and decorations in our fraternity colors.

For the membership year starting January 1st, 2025 through December 31, 2025, membership dues of $40 annually are due to Lambda Lambda by January 31, 2025. Thanks for supporting Lambda Lambda by paying your membership dues each year.

Philanthropy & Services
Domestic Violence Awareness and Support
We support Alpha Chi Omega's nationwide philanthropic project of Domestic Violence Awareness and Support (DVAS). We strongly believe in fighting against unhealthy relationships and building healthy ones. Local non-profits we support - Safe Haven and YWCA Sojourner House.
Alpha Chi Omega Foundation
Like every chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, we proudly support the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation and its educational and leadership programs. The Foundation benefits the fraternity as a whole and helps strengthen our bond as sisters.
